1.) The words copyright and fair use can mean many different things to many different people. To creators, it means using certain songs or antics in their videos or blog posts, or whatever it may be, and having to get permission to use them. For academics, it means not stealing other people's work. In all cases, laws and regulations about copyright and fair use have to do with preserving the originality of people's work.  2.) In this day in age, I would say that academic dishonest has become somewhat of a fad or "thing to do", and has become less and less serious. As technology progresses, it has become harder and harder for teachers and professors to keep track of academic dishonesty. It is also a tricky situation with student privacy. How would one be able to monitor a student if they are working in their home? Students are also entitled to privacy rights that may interfere with the monitoring of their online activity during school.  3.) Through the newsletter desig

1.) Growing up, I used my parent's Windows PC, and it wasn't until high school that I started using Apple products. Because of this, I grew up using Microsoft Word. Even when I got my MacBook, it was a given that I would install Microsoft Word onto my laptop. I use it still because I find that it is the most cooperative with other software systems. I do like using google docs for in-class assignments and doing group projects, but when it comes to writing essays or editing other people's papers, I like Microsoft.  2.) Creativity is to be promoted through the use of technology as well.  3.)

Blog Setup and Blog Journal #1

1.) I am a second-year creative writing major, and I enjoy reading creative non-fiction. I like to go to coffee shops and my favorite is Redeye in Tallahassee. I prefer Books a Million over Barnes and Noble, but really any bookstore is fine. I also like to listen to Billy Joel, my favorite album is 52nd Street.  2.) Really, the only experience I have right now is being a student using technology in an educational setting. In primary and secondary school, we were assigned certain technologies like chrome books. I was able to access my own laptop in high school, and now that I am in college I use my iPad. I have found out that in college you had much more freedom to use whatever technology you want in most classes.  3.) I think for my PLN, I like to use quizlets, and also I occasionally join a class GroupMe. I would also consider books part of my personal learning process, it can be any kind of book. If you pay attention enough you can learn a lot from any genre of book.
